Buying a home isn't just a financial transaction. For some people, it's the first place they get to call their own. For others, it's a fresh start, a growing family's next chapter, or a way to build a more secure future. And getting there isn't always easy.

I've experienced many of the same frustrations people face today: high home prices, high interest rates, debt, and the challenge of making the numbers work. I know how discouraging it can be when something you want feels just out of reach. That's a big part of why I got into the mortgage business.

I want to help people find opportunities they might not know exist, and I want the way I serve them to reflect how much their journey matters.

Everyone comes to the homebuying process with a different story, different challenges, and different goals. I don't believe in treating people like a credit score, an application, or another transaction. I want to understand what's important to you, where you're coming from, and where you hope to go. Then, I'll do everything I can to help you explore your options and make an informed decision that's right for you.

As a mortgage broker with Barrett Financial, I can explore loan options from multiple lenders and look for ways to give you an advantage. That might mean finding a loan program that better fits your situation, exploring strategies to lower your upfront costs or monthly payment, or helping you understand what's possible before you decide your goals are out of reach.

I'm also passionate about helping real estate agents think creatively when a deal gets complicated. If a buyer loves a home but the numbers aren't working, I want to help explore potential solutions rather than assume the answer is no. From seller-paid rate buydowns to HECMs for Purchase, there may be strategies worth considering that help buyers and sellers move forward. I want to be a resource realtors can turn to when they need another perspective, a fresh idea, or a way to better serve their clients.

And sometimes, the best advice is that now isn't the right time to buy. That's okay. My goal isn't to push you into a loan. It's to help you understand where you stand, identify your options, and make a plan that moves you in the right direction.

Whether you're buying your first home, trying to make today's market work for your family, exploring refinancing, considering a reverse mortgage, or a realtor looking for new ways to help a client get to closing, I'd love to talk.

Your journey matters. Your goals matter. And you deserve someone who takes the time to understand both.

Let's figure out what's possible and make it make sense.
