About the Role
The Payroll Check Intake Specialist plays an important role in supporting our payroll operations by ensuring all incoming payroll-related payments are accurately received, verified, and organized. This position is key to maintaining smooth workflows, supporting compliance, and helping ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.
What You’ll Do
• Receive and manage incoming payroll-related checks and payments from branches, clients, and internal teams
• Log, track, and maintain accurate records of all incoming payments to ensure nothing is missed
• Verify payment details including employee names, amounts, and account information
• Match checks to corresponding payroll records, reports, or employee files
• Identify and flag discrepancies such as incorrect amounts or missing information
• Maintain organized records to support audits and compliance requirements
• Partner with payroll and accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate processing
What You Bring
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Solid organizational and time management skills
• Basic understanding of payroll or accounting processes
• Data entry experience with a focus on accuracy
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
• Previous
experience in payroll, accounting, or administrative support preferred
