The Mortgage Post-Closing Specialist plays an important part in our Mortgage Operations team and helps keep our loan files accurate, compliant, and investor ready. In this role, you’ll audit closed loan files, ensure all documentation is complete, and prepare final packages for delivery. Your attention to detail supports smooth loan purchases and strengthens the overall quality of our mortgage operations.
Review and audit closed loan files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and investor requirements
Verify executed final documents including Closing Disclosures, Notes, Deeds of Trust, and collateral documentation
Communicate with settlement agents, loan officers, processors, and funders to resolve any post-closing deficiencies
Prepare and deliver complete loan packages to investors or lenders within required timelines
Track receipt of trailing documents, original Notes, and collateral packages
Ensure all final documents are uploaded and properly indexed in the Loan Origination System
Reconcile funding and closing data for reporting and audit accuracy
Maintain accurate post-closing logs and tracking systems
Partner with Funding and Compliance to resolve any outstanding issues
Support audits, investor reviews, and quality control processes as needed
At least 2 years of experience in mortgage post-closing, shipping, or a related operations role
Strong understanding of mortgage documentation, compliance requirements, and investor delivery standards
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple files and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and follow-up skills
Experience with ARIVE LOS or similar systems preferred
