Job Description

Barrett Financial Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mortgage Funding Specialist to join our Operations team in Chandler, AZ. The Funding Specialist is responsible for reviewing closed loan packages, verifying funding conditions, disbursing funds, and ensuring compliance with company, investor, and regulatory requirements. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy under pressure, and the ability to manage multiple loans in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in mortgage funding or closing.

Responsibilities

  • Review closed loan packages to ensure all funding conditions are satisfied.
  • Verify accuracy of the final Closing Disclosure (CD) and all supporting documents.
  • Confirm that all required signatures and approvals are in place prior to funding.
  • Balance Lender Wire and authorize wire disbursements to title or escrow companies.
  • Coordinate with settlement agents, processors, and Loan Officers to ensure timely and accurate funding.
  • Maintain accurate records of all disbursements and loan statuses within the LOS (ARIVE).
  • Communicate promptly with internal departments and external partners to resolve any funding issues or discrepancies.
  • Audit funded files for completeness and compliance before transferring to post-closing.
  • Ensure all funding activities comply with TRID regulations, investor guidelines, and company policies.
