As the Financial Processing Specialist at Barrett Financial Group, you will manage the full lifecycle of financial check processing and play an essential role in maintaining organized, audit-ready financial operations. You will coordinate check issuance, track bills and invoices, support reporting, and help keep the Finance department running efficiently. You’ll work closely with the CFO and the CFO’s Executive Assistant on daily financial and administrative needs.
In this role, you will:
Manage the full check processing workflow including preparing, issuing, tracking, and mailing checks
Process revisions or corrections to paychecks when needed
Track bills, invoices, receipts, and supporting documents in a centralized, organized system
Monitor payment timelines and ensure timely and accurate disbursements
Support month-end and year-end financial reporting and documentation
Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring files and records are audit ready
Maintain secure and organized digital and physical finance files
Partner closely with leadership to support various administrative and finance tasks
Support special projects and process improvements within the Finance department
Required Skills and Experience:
A degree in Finance or a related field
Experience in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administrative operations
High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
Ability to manage and protect confidential financial information
Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain consistent systems and workflows
Comfort working closely with executives and cross-functional partners
Proficiency in Excel, accounting tools, and standard office software
A proactive mindset with the ability to improve processes and solve problems
Ability to work onsite in our Chandler office
